CHHAYA SHISHIR JANBANDHU, a Brave Lady from Nagpur is an Athlete working for South East Central Railways.
Chhaya Shishir Janbandu with a strong personality working in a male dominated profession recently got awarded as BLISSFUL QUEEN AWARDS from LONDON for her Bravery towards motivating young children to be Self Depended .She is also an International Athlete and received the Bravery Award from Railway Board, New Delhi. She also received GLOBAL ACHIEVER AWARD 2021.
Chhaya born on 18 June in Nagpur Maharashtra is a strong lady of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. Her father was a Military Man. Her life was no bed of roses, she has faced many challenges in life. Her strong positive attitude and with her upbringing in a disciplined family and her spirit of a sportsperson helped her come out with bravery all tough situations in Life. Her role model is PT Usha and she won First Gold Medal in 9th standard. She is a mother of two successful children.
Chhaya is an employee of South East Central Railway Nagpur has won many awards in her life from numerous NGOs towards imparting social activities towards society. She was felicitated with the Pride of Nation Pratibha Samman Award 2021 for teaching self-defense to teenagers.
CHHAYA has done her entire education from Nagpur University Bsc Maths, BP ED, and Masters Degree in Physical education after her Marriage. While she was working as HOD with Pallotti engineering College, she lost her husband due to a severe Heart Attack in August 2013.This was the greatest tragedy of her life, wherein she joined railways on compassionate ground in 2014. Being a Single Mother she has been surviving honestly for the betterment of her children as well as for the future of the society
There is a great incident that inspired her to start training girls in Self Defence. On December 7, 2016, She was attacked by three Goons while on duty at Kampatee Station. She is a former international Athlete and All India Railways Cross country Runner, She knew Marshall Arts to defend herself in this critical situation. She not only saved her life with a bravery she saved Rs 10 lakhs cash of Railway department. Having seen her Bravery work on duty, Railway Board awarded her with BRAVERY AWARD on the eve of Women’s Day ( March 8, 2017).Since from this time she decided to empower every woman around her to be strong and brave. She started visiting schools and colleges band started her mission of SELF DEFENCE and took free classes for the students.
She taught more than 5 lakhs students since 2017. And her mission is still on she visits tribal places, villages, and nearby cities to make every women brave like her.She wants Government should include Self Defence as a compulsory subject in schools and colleges where the from young age the boys and girls will be self dependent where in they will be able to save and protect themself and the near and dear ones.
Her motto in life is “BE STRONG, BE FEARLESS, BE BRAVE AND BE ALERT. She has been teaching self Defence to girls making them stronger to fight for themself. She taught self-defense in nearby schools and colleges. She motivates Girls how to protect themself from bad situations in life. She is a role model to many.
