Renuka Kad, Aurangabad.A Social Activist, Who Fights Against Injustice In All Areas Of Human Rights
Renuka Kad has a zeal for learning, after finishing her schooling from a Municipal Corporation school and then Master in Social Work from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University. She went on to do PG diploma in Human Rights from Indian Institute of Human Rights, Delhi in 2005 while working in the city. She worked as a

She is also member of Asia Pacific Research Network.Renuka has travelled widely to work for the deprived community. She is the best issue writer. Renuka’s recent book “Lockdown Dairy” is based on lockdown impact various sector is very famous.
During lockdown she walked 600km
with migrated peoples. Till third phase of lockdown she distributed food kits and ready to cook food for marginal community members, transgender and sex worker women across the Maharashtra with support of doners and friends.
She is Center Coordinator in Childline Project of Union Ministry of Women and Child Development till 2006.She has worked extensively against domestic violence, she worked as counsellor for women’s cell regarding domestic violence across Aurangabad. Her work was appreciated a
lot and she worked forward in 22 district of Maharashtra.
At present she is working with two organisations from Mumbai as regional head for Western India: Vikas Adhyayan Kendra which deals with human rights research, training and advocacy and Community Development Trust for rural
awareness and hygienic water. She tells, “The issue of rights and safety of single women parents like widows, unmarried and deserted women, is very crucial yet neglected. She is working for them. These women occupy 31% in total women population: however, they do not have any legal rights.
She is State Coordinator of drafting committee of Single Women Policy.On 7th Jan 2020 she has submitted first policy draft to State Government of Maharashtra. “What made her take up this particular cause? She said “I have seen struggle of my mother being a single parent since childhood and it has made her courageous enough to deal with threats, abuses and other such experiences while working against injustice in society”.
She also works directly on the field of cyber crimes against women, LGBT rights, rights of transgender women. Her intervention result is in 9th June 2020 Government of Maharashtra has formed first Transgender Welfare Board.
In 2016 she was invited for BRICS Summit on Right to Food-Public food distribution in Goa where she presented a research paper. Since then she is working in this field also and at present she is representative for FIAN Food First Information
