Kankana Ghosh is the most Creative Baker.She followed her Passion in the culinary World.

Kankana is a self-taught home baker. She makes customised cakes, cookies, brownies and more. She also conducts online classes and has students from across the globe. Her journey of being a full-time home baker is only 2 years old but she has achieved a lot in this short span of time and has got a fairly good recognition on social media.

 She also collaborates with well-known brands for demonstration and display of baked goods.She has always had a passion for baking and cooking which she inherited from her grandmother. But as life would have it, she also started out in the corporate world after completing her MBA. Her heart was always into baking and she would bake cakes for friends and family and take minimal order on and off. She also participated in Masterchef India season 1 where she reached the top 50 spot. But at that point she had just started off her career in the corporate world and it didn’t feel right to give up on that and foray into the culinary world. 

But then when something is destined to happed it does happen and Kankana is a firm believer of the fact that everything happens in its own time. When the pandemic hit, like everyone else she was working from home and managed to find some time to dedicate time to baking. Word spread about her delicious cakes and she started getting orders. She managed to balance her career and baking very well but somewhere the interest for the latter took over.


In 2021, Kankana quit her well paying corporate job to start baking and become a full-time home baker. She started taking up more orders and also felt that her knowledge and skills should also be shared with others. She started taking online classes and now has 60+ online courses to offer.
IAWA has chosen her for the Women Achievers Award as  Most Creative Home baker for her achievements and the risk that she took to follow her passion.
